WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT DIRECT CARE WORKERS?

§         Direct care workers offer supports and help make life easier for people with disabilities.

 §         They provide essential services ranging from help with bathing and dressing to taking vital signs and running errands.

§         Work settings range from individual residences to nursing homes, and the people served range from young children to older adults.

§         There are over 30,000 direct care workers in Arizona. The field is growing and the demand for these workers is rising.
